The Outdoor Area
The outdoor buildings surround a beautiful courtyard with an iconic ‘meeting bench’ around the large oak tree. The buildings are adjacent to the old Helnæs Mill, which we expect to renovate within the coming years. There are currently no access to the mill.
The outdoor area is very suitable for large events and parties.
Parties can be held in the large tipi with room for 80 people.
The large, well-equipped outdoor/indoor kitchen is perfect for large events – both if the food is delivered as catering, or if you want to cook yourself. with chef assistance.
Architect and Materials
Jesper Thyge Brøgger has also been the architect on the construction, where patinated oak from Starupwood has been used.
The outdoor buildings are inspired by a medieval building construction – the so-called log houses with horizontal planks between the supporting posts instead of stone, which is used in half-timbered buildings.
Bulhus have been built since the late Viking Age approx. year 1000 and up through the Middle Ages.
The outdoor buildings, with the large port doors which give the opportunity to open the rooms towards nature, contain facilities for use for large events at Helnæs Mølle: large kitchen, toilets and bathing facilities, bedrooms, etc.
The outdoor area, which is rented out as a whole, consists of:
2 newly built, solid oak buildings containing:
- Outdoor kitchen with completely modern facilities (industrial dishwasher, oven and fridge) and outdoor service (melamine) for 80 people.
- Toilets and bathrooms.
- Dormitory with 2 rooms with 6 and 4 beds.
- Porcelain and glass for nicer setting.
- Extra room for various storage, gift table, etc.
- Large tipi of 106 m2 with room for 80 people.
- Rustic long tables and benches for tipi or outdoors. Table/bench space for approx. 80 people.
- Reindeer skins for benches and/or field beds.
- 3 shelters with a campfire and the most beautiful sea view.
- Large outdoor grill.
- 20 field beds, e.g. for use in teepees and large outdoor sinks.
- Possibility of renting canoes and buying firewood.
- Possibility of charging an electric car through 4 charging stations in the car park that do not require a subscription. Simply pay by credit card or MobilePay for your top-up.
Practical notes
In connection with arrival, you will be introduced to the use of the area and facilities. On departure, the area and facilities are reviewed together with the tenant.
Guests are responsible for cleaning up the area themselves, and Helnæs Mølle is responsible for cleaning.
The outdoor area is rented for a minimum of 2 days – see details under rental and prices.
Luxury holiday apartments are not included in the outdoor rental, but can be rented individually.
It is possible to rent a total of 8 holiday apartments. Canoes are not included in the outdoor rental, but can be rented individually.

The entire Helnæs Mølle area:
New outdoor buildings with professional kitchen, new toilets and shower, extra room available for storage, Tipi (100m2) with space for 80 people, 3 shelters with a total of 15 sleeping places and fire place, dormitory 2 rooms with 6 and 4 beds respectively, as well large outdoor grill and fire pit.
Per 24 hours DKK 14,000.00; minimum rental period is 2 days. Mandatory cleaning DKK 2,000.

Firewood: DKK 75/wheelbarrow (incl. VAT)
Canoes: DKK 300 (incl. VAT)

Outdoor booking conditions
When booking, Helnæs Mølle sends a confirmation of the rental. Deposit of 50% is paid within 14 days (appears in the confirmation). Final payment of 50% is paid 1 month. before the start of the rental period.
Booking is only final when the deposit has been received.
If you cancel more than 3 months before the start of the rental period, half of the deposit is refunded.
If you cancel more than 2 months before the start of the rental period, there is no refund of the deposit.
If you cancel more than 30 days before the start of the rental period, there is no refund of the rent.
The lease runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m
Guests are responsible for cleaning up the area themselves, including setting up tables and benches as at reception. Sorted waste is thrown into containers. Helnæs Mølle is responsible for the final cleaning.
