Terms of sale and delivery
Here you will find some useful information about online booking. You can see how we process the details you enter, how you receive notification in connection with a purchase, and other details. In the following, HELNÆS MØLLE is synonymous with HELNÆS MØLLE OUTDOOR LIFE & FERIEBOLIGER
We draw your attention to the fact that your booking is not covered by the cancellation rights under the rules of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act. Sales of overnight accommodation (in cabins, summer cottages, camping etc.) are covered by a special exception clause in S. 18 (2) (12) of the Consumer Contracts Act. A booking that has been made is not covered by a 14-day right to cancellation. The reason is that it will often be impossible to hire a reserved cabin/apartment/camping pitch out again only a few days before arrival.
Booking and payment
If you book a stay at HELNÆS MØLLE, the full amount must be paid immediately after the booking is made. Immediately after a booking is received, HELNÆS MØLLE will send you a rental certificate by e-mail. If you do not receive an e-mail with your rental certificate, please check your spam mail or unsolicited mail folder.
Checking your rental certificate
On receiving the rental certificate, it is the tenant’s responsibility to ensure that the period and the selected unit are correct.
Cancellation insurance (can only be taken out in connection with rental of the holiday apartments)
We recommend that you buy our cancellation insurance when you book a stay at HELNÆS MØLLE. In that way you are covered if you need to cancel your booking. Cancellation insurance also applies in cases of illness. The following applies to online booking: You decide yourself whether you want cancellation insurance. Cancellation insurance costs DKK 295.00 for each holiday apartment booked, and must be paid for at the same time as the stay. Once payment is made, cancellation insurance can no longer be bought or cancelled.
How you are covered by our cancellation insurance
If you are ill, the following applies:
In cases where a booking involves more than one unit, the cancellation only covers the unit where the person who is ill was going to stay. Cancellation insurance applies until 9 am on the day of arrival. The full amount (with deduction of the price of the cancellation insurance) will be refunded when documentation is sent, in the form of a doctor’s certificate.
If cancellation is NOT due to illness, the following applies:
More than 60 days before arrival:
On cancellation more than 60 days before arrival, then after deduction of an administration fee of DKK 500.- the full amount will be refunded. The cost of cancellation insurance will not be refunded.
60-30 days before arrival:
On cancellation between 60 and 30 days, 50 % 0f the amount paid will be refunded. The cost of cancellation insurance will not be refunded.
29-0 days before arrival:
No refund will be made on cancellation. During your stay: If there is sudden illness, an accident, or death in your immediate family, you should check that you are covered by your private travel insurance. Our cancellation insurance does NOT apply if you have to interrupt your stay.
Right to cancellation and refunds

Dogs are welcome in the holiday apartments. A separate charge is made for bringing dogs. If a dog arrives without payment in advance, an extra cleaning charge of DKK 750.- will be made.
The rental price includes electricity, heating and Wi-Fi.
Arrival and departure:

• Departure not later than 11.00 am
HELNÆS MØLLE accepts no responsibility for the time when guests are able to start using the rented facilities. If you, as a guest, do not have transport to and from the holiday park (for example due to cancelled flight or train departures, problems with the car, traffic situations, closed borders etc.), you will not be compensated for it.
Smoking at HELNÆS MØLLE
Smoking is banned in all holiday apartments. This also applies to e-cigarettes. If this rule is violated, a cleaning charge of DKK 1,500.00 will be made.
Smoking in the area generally: please be considerate in shared outdoor areas, and remember that cigarette ends must go in the litter bins. Smoking is not allowed in common indoor areas. This also applies to e-cigarettes.
Tenants in the holiday homes are fully liable for the furnishings in the hired unit. Damage and defects caused by the tenant must be paid for on departure. The person who has signed the rental agreement is also liable for damage caused by the other residents and guests in the rented facilities. The apartment may not be occupied by more people than the number stated in the price list. There must be someone over the age of 18 present during the entire stay.
At HELNÆS MØLLE we want to do all we can to make your visit especially enjoyable. However, mistakes are always possible, and if there is anything you, our guests, are not satisfied with, please contact an employee at HELNÆS MØLLE as soon as possible. If a rented unit is not adequately cleaned, or if we have failed to notice that something is damaged in a rented unit, then you must inform the manager immediately on arrival (within two hours) – see under business details – to get the problem attended to. If you only complain about the cleaning when you depart, the complaint will not be dealt with.
HELNÆS MØLLE cannot be held responsible for the presence of animals or insects, as the holiday homes are located in a natural area.
If you want to complain after you have come home, then, not later than seven days after departure, you can write to our e-mail address: email@example.com
In the event of a dispute, a case may be brought in the Court in Odense, and cases shall be settled according to Danish law.
HELNÆS MØLLE is a data controller in accordance with the Danish Data Protection Act. Please send all enquiries about data protection to: firstname.lastname@example.org
HELNÆS MØLLE processes the personal data given by the tenant in connection with booking, because it is necessary in order to carry out the order, and thus also to fulfil the rental agreement, and to comply with any other obligations under the agreements entered into between HELNÆS MØLLE and the tenant.
As a tenant, you are entitled at all times to raise objections to the processing of your personal data for these purposes.
To the extent that it is necessary, HELNÆS MØLLE passes on relevant details included in this agreement to business partners (e.g. the cleaning company, credit card processor, insurance companies and public authorities) in order to carry out the rental, collect payment correctly and securely, or to the extent necessary in accordance with current legislation at any time.
HELNÆS MØLLE only transfers personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA to the necessary extent, and only when there are suitable guarantees of a satisfactory level of protection in accordance with current legislation at any time.
Personal data is only stored for the period for which it is necessary to fulfil the relevant purpose or to comply with current legislation.
As the data subject, the tenant is entitled to be informed – and given a copy – of the data which HELNÆS MØLLE has registered, and to have the details or data corrected or changed, if they prove to be incorrect. Additionally, the tenant is entitled to have details or data deleted if they are no longer required in order to fulfil the purpose for which they were collected, or if the processing is illegal. Finally, the tenant is entitled to ask HELNÆS MØLLE to restrict processing of the data in question.
HELNÆS MØLLE uses server side cookies and a secure connection to ensure that the information given by guests on our website is secure.
When payments are made with a bank card, they are registered on a secure server, where the details are encrypted before they are transmitted on the Internet.
Prices and discounts
The prices of HELNÆS MØLLE’S holiday homes are adjusted at intervals, and current prices can be seen on our website. We reserve the right to cancel a hire contract based on typing errors or printing errors.
Force Majeure and comparable situations
If implementation of the rental agreement is impossible or to an essential degree hindered by force majeure or comparable situations, including, but not limited to: war, riots, natural disasters, rationing of oil and petrol, pollution disasters, epidemics, pandemics, suspension of currency trading, exceptional weather conditions, drought, floods, closed borders, traffic situations, strikes, lockouts and the like, which could not be foreseen when the rental contract was signed, then HELNÆS MØLLE is entitled to cancel the rental agreement, since HELNÆS MØLLE cannot be held responsible in the situations mentioned.
In such situations, HELNÆS MØLLE is obligated to inform the tenant. The tenant is not entitled to a refund of the amount paid. However, the tenant will receive a credit note for the amount paid. The credit note can be used to purchase a new stay within a period of three years.
